WE DO IT SLOW !
WE MAKE VEGAN SANDALS & BAGS IN LIMITED EDITIONS
The heritage of espadrilles is closely tied to the Mediterranean region of Spain and France. They were originally worn by peasants and farmers who needed sturdy, comfortable footwear for working outdoors. Typically made from natural materials such as jute, cotton and canvas they are known for their comfort and versality.
Marionas approach to craft is guided by the admiration of preserving the art of making traditional footwear in the Mediterranean region for centuries. It is a time-honored craft that have been passed down through generations of artisans.
The process of making espadrilles starts with creating the sole, which is made from a rope-like material called jute. The Jute is braided together and coiled to form the shape of the sole, and the edges are stitched together with a needle and thread.
WE PRESERVE & PROTECT
